What this notice covers.
This notice covers the Wicked.today directory, reports, guides, comparisons and companion pages. It describes how the current website works; an external tool’s own privacy notice applies when you visit that tool.
Wicked.today is the publisher of this website. Contact the publisher at [email protected] or read our contact and correction guidance.
Directory entries summarize published source material. Guides and the decision lab provide educational examples and templates. Public browsing does not offer a user account, personal profile or file-upload service.
Your shortlist stays in your browser.
Search and filter links
Search terms and filters can appear in the page URL. A shared link, a page reload or browser history can therefore contain those terms. Avoid putting personal or confidential information in search terms or shared URLs.
Decision-lab drafts
The decision lab keeps calculator inputs and trial notes in the current page’s memory. This feature does not submit your entries, fetch your source links, or save drafts in cookies or local storage. Export downloads a Markdown worksheet to your device. Your browser may independently restore form entries according to its own settings.
Administrator sessions
The separate administration page uses session storage for a signed, expiring login token. This is an operator feature; visitors do not need an administrator session to browse or save tools.
Shortlist data has no automatic expiry in this feature. It remains until you remove saved tools, clear this site’s storage, or the browser deletes it. A private browsing session or a storage restriction can prevent it from persisting.
You can export a saved shortlist from the directory. The resulting file is downloaded to your device; decide where you store or share that copy.
Hosting and font requests.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website through Pages and Workers. When you request a page or API response, Cloudflare receives technical information such as your IP address, request URL, time and HTTP headers, which may include browser details and a referring page. These requests are used to deliver content, operate the service and protect it against abuse.
Cloudflare may process security information and operational logs under its service settings and policies. Log availability and retention depend on the hosting configuration and provider policies; this notice does not promise a fixed deletion period that has not been established for those records.

Fonts served by Wicked.today
The current stylesheet requests DM Sans and JetBrains Mono font files from this website’s own /assets/fonts/ directory. It does not request them from Google’s font servers. Font delivery therefore uses the site’s hosting provider, with the same technical-request processing described above.
Both fonts are distributed with their open font licenses: DM Sans and JetBrains Mono. If the font files cannot load, the stylesheet falls back to fonts available on your device.
Links and correspondence
Following a tool’s original-source link sends you to another website with its own data practices. If you email the publisher, your email provider and the publisher’s mail provider process the message, contact address and any information you choose to include. Send only what is necessary for your request.
Advertising is not enabled.
The current public website does not load Google AdSense advertising scripts or set advertising cookies through AdSense. We are preparing the site for possible advertising; this does not mean an AdSense account or this site has been approved.
If advertising is introduced, this notice will be updated to explain the advertising partners, purposes, data and available controls. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers for serving, personalizing and measuring advertisements, subject to the choices and rules that apply to the visitor.
Before serving personalized Google ads to visitors in the UK, European Economic Area or Switzerland, the site will need a Google-certified consent management platform and the consent process required by Google. Other advertising modes also need the disclosures and consent choices that apply to their data use. Advertising remains disabled on this site while that setup is incomplete.
No consent choice is being requested for an advertising feature that is currently inactive. Browser storage used for your requested shortlist is described separately above.

Control the data you can see.
- Remove a saved tool: select its bookmark again in the directory or report.
- Remove the whole local shortlist: open your browser’s site-data settings for
wicked.todayand clear local storage. This action can also clear other site settings. - Keep your own copy: export the shortlist before clearing storage if you want to retain it.
- Limit external requests: use your browser’s privacy settings or extensions, understanding that some fonts or external links may behave differently.
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal data, object to processing, or request portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may be able to withdraw it for future processing. Use the publisher’s contact channel for a request about data the publisher actually controls.
Because shortlist contents are stored in your browser rather than a visitor account, the publisher cannot retrieve or clear that local copy remotely. Browser controls are the direct way to remove it.
